Biography

Viv is an AMFT who received her M.S. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Lutheran University and is supervised by Susan Richter (CA License #19108). Viv offers an array of services, including work with individuals, couples, families, and children. In graduate school, Viv academically focused on couples/family therapy, personality disorders, substance abuse, and trauma. At her previous job, Viv was an addiction therapist who specialized in co-occurring disorders and clients with existing diagnoses of neurodivergence (ADHD/ASD). Viv is a member of the queer community and has personal experience with addiction and navigating PTSD. Viv uses CBT, DBT, solution-focused, narrative, and person-centered therapy. Viv finds that therapy is a relationship built on trust, vulnerability, and compassion, and that therapy is different for each individual client. Viv hopes to build a safe therapeutic experience by fostering self-advocacy and self-love.
